Hello, I’m

About Me

> I’m a software engineer and a recent Computer Science graduate from UC Berkeley. I worked on TikTok’s core video moderation pipeline, and contributed to LIMS & research infra at BigHat (an ML-driven biotech startup). I’ve done my fair share of research too — currently an M.S. in Bioinformatics at UMich building a protein-LLM-based single-cell embedder (previously at UCSF, LBNL, and UCB).

> I’m happiest one layer below whatever the interesting thing is — the pipeline under the model, the scheduler under the simulation, the thing that quietly puts everything back after it breaks. Not glamorous, but I like it a lot.

> The biology half matters more than it looks. Biology is the hackiest spaghetti code there is — no docs, no rewrites, four billion years of patches on top of patches, still running in production. Learning to read it is what made me comfortable inside tangled systems nobody fully understands, which turns out to describe most real infrastructure too.

> Off the clock I sing bass, snowboard badly, play a lot of pickleball, and am a genuine menace at AYCE Korean BBQ after the gym — which I’ve decided is how cutting works for me. Currently learning golf and tennis, though I think I already hate putting (,,>﹏<,,)

Always open to new projects and roles.
